Recently, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) banned four advisors from MWL Financial Services Pty Ltd (MWL) from providing advice.

Recently, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) banned four advisors from MWL Financial Services Pty Ltd (MWL) from providing advice.  The MWL advisors banned were:

  1. Rocco D’Amelio
  2. Robert Crossing
  3. Matthew Bradley
  4. Isaac Jacob McQueen

In media releases issued by ASIC, concerns were raised that the MWL advisors had recommended clients to invest into the Shield Master Fund which ASIC stated were high risk investments.  ASIC also stated that the Shield Master Fund had a limited trading history and the advice provided was not in their clients best interests.

Financial Dispute Legal has been investigating claims involving the Shield Master Fund since August 2024 and anticipates that ASIC may make further banning orders in the future against other financial advisors linked to the this and other investments.

If you were advised MWL to invest into the Shield Master Fund, we ask that you contact Financial Dispute Legal to discuss your circumstances and consider any rights to recover compensation on 1300 433 533 or enquiry@fdlegal.com.au
